With deep experience as an attorney, family office executive, trustee, board member, and advisor, Mary brings technical fluency in trusts, fiduciary practice, wealth transfer, governance, business succession, philanthropy, private investments, and family office design. She combines this expertise with a developmental approach to preparing family members to receive, steward, and contribute to the family legacy.

Mary’s distinctive contribution is helping families connect these technical structures to the lived experience of the people they are meant to serve. Families often need more than excellent planning documents, governance structures, or family office systems. They need those structures to be understood, lived, and adapted by real people across generations. Mary helps families bridge that gap, translating complex legal, financial, fiduciary, and governance systems into practices that strengthen identity, judgment, communication, responsibility, and collaboration.

During nine years with a global private bank, Mary spearheaded an award-winning Global Family Wealth Initiative and worked with many of the institution’s largest and most sophisticated families as they navigated the challenges of transitioning wealth across generations. Today, she works with a small number of families around the world, helping them align technical structures with the human capacities required for wealth to be life-enhancing rather than diminishing.

Mary’s advisory work includes enterprise continuity, succession planning, beneficiary and rising generation development, governance design, family learning systems, and family office architecture. She also serves as trustee and director for select families and private trust companies.
